The Naval Club is in Mayfair, a very desirable and convenient location for visiting London. We took the Piccadilly line directly from Heathrow. The walk from the Hyde Park Underground Station to the club is 10-15 minutes. The club is on a quiet street although there was some road noise from our fourth floor room. The front desk staff was pleasant albeit not very engaging. The entire facility was clean and tidy. The main part of our double room was about 120 square feet, but the en suite bathroom was relatively large and had a shower/tub with vigorously delivered hot water. The dining room was lovely and the service was attentive. The English breakfast was good, hot, and plentiful. The one evening meal we took at the club also was very good and imaginative, more than standard British fare. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

We loved the Naval Club. We stayed for five days. We found the entire staff — front desk, housekeeping, pub and dining room — to be highly professional, friendly and helpful. The included English breakfast was very good, but we also found lunch and dinner to be outstanding. The Naval Club occupies a beautiful London townhouse in Mayfair. Our double room was small by American standards, but quiet and peaceful with a large en suite bathroom. The fourth floor room even boasted an beautiful view of the neighborhood and some of the city skyline. The Naval Club’s location doesn’t get any better. Easy walking to parks, shopping, pubs, restaurants, theaters. During our stay, the underground was shutdown due to a labor dispute. Because of the Naval Club’s location we were able to walk to the British Museum. All-in-all we enjoyed staying at the Naval Club, and will do so again when we’re in London. HIghly recommended.

We stayed two nights in May, 2014. Our room was tiny, barely wider than the double bed, although the bathroom was recently re-done, with a great shower. The public areas are spacious and clean. The dining room and fare were excellent. The club bar provides privacy and a very club-like ambience.
Mobility-impaired access appeared non-existent with narrow hallways, the occasional step(s) in mid-hall and closed fire doors.
Great location with rates comparable to other Mayfair hotels (also, we’re told, with small rooms).
Wi-fi access was problematic while we were there, frequently available only in the lobby area.
We would stay again, but mostly for the central location and close proximity to pubs, restaurants and attractions.

Recently my husband I had a opportunity to Stay at the Naval Club. We reserved the “President Room”, which was very POSH and overlooked the beautiful streets of Mayfair. The 18th century hotel building was cozy, with a beautiful bar and dining room. Their new young chef was exceptional and we ate diner there every . I did not feel any local restaurant could compare in quality nor price. Commander Ingram (CEO) who makes his rounds daily, made an effort to personally greet us and was interested in our review of his exceptional wine selection. The housekeepers were vigilant to our needs. If I had any complaint it would be that there was no air-conditioning . We had one unusually hot day , which I suspect is very rare, I highly recommend this wonderful club to anyone visiting London.
